Turnk x CleverConnect - Interview with Pierre-Antoine Ball

What is CleverConnect?

CleverConnect was founded in 2016 by the merger of two companies Meteojob, a leader in job matching, and Visiotalent, a specialist in delayed video interviews. The company is now specialized in recruitment solutions, in particular throughout the Talent Acquisition part. The founding team is composed of Marko Vujasinovic, Gonzague Lefebvre and Louis Coulon.

The company tapped TurnK for its Salesforce redesign and the integration of third-party tools like Hubspot marketing. Pierre-Antoine Ball is a SalesOps Manager at CleverConnect, he supports salespeople in all their working methods and the tools that are made available to them on a daily basis.

In this interview, he tells us about his experience with Turnk. How did we know how to support them, what were the benefits they were able to derive from this collaboration?

The questions/answers

What was your problem before meeting Turnk? What were your needs?

“Before meeting Turnk, we had a lot of difficulty choosing the right providers who did not always present us with solutions that were easily adaptable within our organization. We did not necessarily have technical contacts who had all the necessary maturity or the field of skills or knowledge.
Turnk arrived with an approach that was a little bit different, that of NoCode, in particular with solutions such as Salesforce where we could very easily adapt all our processes and also support sales teams in the use of this tool in a way that was quite educational and illustrated thanks to NoCode.”

How did Turnk respond to this problem? Why Turnk and not someone else?

“As I said, Turnk is a NoCode specialist. They clearly showed their field of skills and knowledge as well, on Salesforce What on Hubspot, two solutions that are fundamentally part of our Lead Gen strategy until we enter opportunities that pass for the most part and close win. We also received support on interconnections with tools that we already had at CleverConnect, in particular at Sage.”

What support process did Turnk offer? What did you think of it?

“In terms of support, we first worked like Sprint, so we had daily appointments with Hubert at the start, then with Vincent Causse, whom I greet and whom I thank at the same time.
I was frankly amazed by Turnk's productivity, which was able to put a lot of time at our disposal, really supported us, gave us all the technical context, and really translated our operational vision in a NoCode way. By adapting the tools as best as possible while also trying to keep our vision as general as possible so as to be able to maximize the use of these solutions.”

What results did you get from it?

“Significant benefits in the sense that CleverConnect is a very fast-growing company, so one of the priority challenges was to find solutions that were easy to adopt for any newcomer, so clearly, Turnk has made process designs that are as simple as possible, as simple as possible, the most intuitive for newcomers, which has necessarily reduced learning curves. This is really also reflected in our key performance indicators, in our winrate statistics, in our time to sell. There has really been a very strong impact on the work that Turnk has done in terms of results.”

Why did you choose NoCode?

“The NoCode was chosen to find people who are able to communicate with Turnk. When you get into system diagrams that are too technical, that immediately enter into programming, that you do tailor-made, you very quickly find yourself confronted with problems from people who do not necessarily have the knowledge to use these solutions.
There is also a risk of entering into a kind of ultra-specialization, of wanting to adapt a tool specifically to the processes and needs of CleverConnect. And that's a danger in the sense that Turnk has succeeded in bringing solutions that show us an excellent level of integration and today, when we want to start with a new solution thanks to the applications and tools that are used is deployed by Turnk, we are in a position to make integrations as simple as possible.”

What are the next steps for CleverConnect?

“The next steps for CleverConnect are onboarding and recruiting. We have a lot of people who will join us in 2022. The objective is to go from 200 to 300 people within our organization. We are setting out to conquer new markets, especially Germany, where we have strong ambitions.
Again, it requires adapting our strategy, which must be specific to each territory in our tools, especially with Salesforce, and we rely on the availability and professionalism of Turnk to achieve this.”
