Apple extends support for designers with graphic assets on Figma

Apple x Figma, what can we expect?

‍

Apple extends its support to designers by offering ready-to-use graphic resources on the Figma platform. Traditionally focused on Adobe applications, the company now recognizes the growing importance of Figma as an essential tool for designers.

‍

‍

‍

Users of Sketch, another popular design software, will also continue to benefit from the interface templates and component library provided by Apple.

However, Apple is now expanding its offering to include Figma, giving designers a greater variety of options for creating engaging and functional interfaces.

‍

Apple's “resource kit” available on Figma includes a range of interface templates for apps, notifications, and lock screen and home screen widgets. These ready-to-use templates allow designers to save time by using visual elements that are consistent and aesthetic.

‍

In addition to interface templates, Apple also provides a dynamic table that contains all the text styles and components needed to create comprehensive interfaces. This includes the colors and “materials” of the system, ensuring visual harmony with the Apple ecosystem.

‍

Figma, for its part, is preparing for the future by planning to add new graphics resources as Apple operating systems are updated. Designers will thus be able to access up-to-date graphics corresponding to the latest versions of macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, tvOS 17, and VisionOS.

It should be noted that Apple has not yet released resources for software Adobe XD and Photoshop. However, with the arrival of macOS Sonoma, it is possible that kits adapted to this software will be offered in the future, which would further expand the options available to designers working on Adobe platforms.

‍

In short

‍

Overall, this new initiative by Apple demonstrates its commitment to supporting designers and making their work easier by providing ready-to-use graphic resources.

By expanding its offering to Figma, Apple recognizes the changing landscape of design tools and ensures that designers have the resources they need to create exceptional user experiences in the Apple ecosystem.
